Who will be H&M's next Top Designer...?

Da hat H&M aber ganz schön tief in die Marketing-Trick-Kiste gegriffen. Anstatt, wie die Jahre zuvor, die nächste Top-Designer-Kollaboration mit H&M ausgiebig zu verbraten, dürfen wir diesmal raten, wer uns mit seinen Designs zu erschwinglichen Preisen ab dem November beglücken darf. Na, was denkt ihr?

Vielen Gerüchten zu Folge steht das asiatische Label Shiatzy Chen für die Stücke der Kollaboration zur Diskussion, während David Gandy in der Werbekampagne zu sehen sein soll.  Andere widerum denken dahinter steckt der Designer Alber Elbaz des Labels Lanvin. Aber wer ist die Frau? Am dem 09. September wissen wir jedenfalls mehr.

H&M presents their latest marketing trick. Instead of communicating their new top designer collaboration in the media, we have to guess who will design the new pieces for the November collection. Who do you think will it be?

Rumours already point out that the Asian label Shiatzy Chen will design the clothes for the collaboration whereas David Gandy  will promote the campaign in the media. Others guess it might be Alber Elbaz from the label Lanvin. But who is the woman? On 09. September we will know for sure.

Necklace in return

 

Ihr erinnert Euch ja noch bestimmt an meine Schleifenkette, die ich dann doch bei H&M umgetauscht habe. Mmmhhhhh... anstatt mein Geld zurückzufordern habe ich dafür diese Kette eingetauscht. Diesmal habe ich aber keine Zweifel und werde sie behalten. Ach, ich verliebe mich zu schnell in Accessoires. Muss etwas aufpassen :) Ich wünsche Euch ein traumhaftes Wochenende!

Was passiert, wenn Träume wahr werden? 1000 Gedanken schwirren durch meinen Kopf. Ich habe die Zusage bekommen ab Mitte September mich mehr der Mode zu widmen und nach London zu ziehen. Damit einher geht das Aufgeben meines jetzigen Lebens, also Familie, Freunde und Berlin. Keine Frage, ich machs, denn ich will mir in 10 Jahren nicht vorwerfen, es nie versucht zu haben. Spannende Zeiten kommen auf mich zu und ihr werdet es natürlich auch weiterhin auf meinem Blog verfolgen können :)

What happens if dreams come true? 1000 thoughts are in my head right now. I have the offer to concentrate more on the fashion industry in London, starting in the middle of September. This also includes to give up my current life including familiy, friends and Berlin. Without doubt, I do it because I do not want to ask myself in 10 years what would have been if... because I never tried it. Do I really need all this crap?

Hi ihr Lieben, neulich habe ich hier in der Berlin in der Münzstraße in der Nähe des Hackeschen Markts, dieses Street-Painting fotografiert. (hatte den Hinweis von einer sehr guten Freundin bekommen)  Tja, und da fragt man sich, ob das nicht wahr ist. Manchmal überlege ich schon, nach einem Shopping-Rausch, ob ich nun wirklich noch den 9. Haarreifen oder den 18. Schal brauche, aber JA. Es ist doch so, es macht einfach Spaß und man kann immer wieder neu kombinieren und wenn doch mal der Zweifel oder das schlechte Gewissen einen plagen, wie mit der Schleifenkette, dann tauscht man es ganz leicht wieder um. Brauchen tue ich das ganze Zeug jedenfalls nicht aber ohne wäre es auch langweilig. Ich bin jedenfalls pro Konsum, solange man sich nicht in den finanziellen Ruin stürzt oder alles mit dem Originalpreis-Schild im Schrank versauern lässt. Wie denkt ihr?

Hi friends, lately I took a picture of this streetpainting at the Münzstraße near Hackescher Markt here in Berlin. (I got that hint from a very good friend of mine) Now I am wondering, if it's true what the girl is thinking (Do I really need all this crap/stuff?) Sometimes I ask myself after a shopping trip if I really need 9 hairbands or 18 scarfs in my closet, but YES. It is like that, shopping is fun for me and I always can combine my clothes with new things and if it is the case that I don't like a thing back home, like my bow necklace, I can return it easily. So I do not neccessarily need it but without it would be kind of boring, too. I am for consumption as long as you can afford it and your clothes do not hang in the wardrobe with its original price label. What do you think?

Berlin shopping tips for tourists

Hi fashion friends :) As Fashionista ask me at my last post to give her some Berlin shopping tips for her visit, I thought that this is a great post for you all to share the information. So if you ever plan to visit Berlin there are some nice places to shop besides all the sightsighting. [Click here for official sightseeing info]

Let's go shopping

If you want to shop from A like American Apparel to Z like Zara you should definitely go to Kurfürstendamm starting at subway station Wittenbergplatz, there you'll find all High Street Fashion Stores and the famous KaDeWe. In the End of the street prices are getting up and you can buy luxury goods from Gucci, LV etc. 

If you prefer Vintage Shopping try Kreuzberg! There are my 3 favorite Second Hand stores called Bonnie & Kleid (Gneisenaustraße 9), Checkpoint (Mehringdamm 41) and Colours (Bergmannstraße 102 - Happy Hour every Tuesday between 11.00 and 15.00 o'clock 30% discount). You get there by subway, just get out at Mehringdamm and walk 5 minutes.

If you love chic and expensive shopping go to Friedrichstraße and shop for example at the Galerie Lafayette, Hugo Boss or Escada. But there are two H&M's as well ;) Subway station: Französische Straße

Individual clothes and indepent designers can be found in Mitte as well as Prenzlauer Berg. In Mitte walk around Hackescher Markt and discover small designer shops in the streets like Oranienburger Straße. In Mitte you also find the Adidas Original Flagship Store. I love it! It is at Münzstraße 15 right under the trade show office Bread & Butter :) 

For shopping in Prenzlauer Berg I suggest to take the subway till Eberswalder Straße. There you find both small independent labels (Name of the street: Kastanienallee!!!) and Second Hand stores. Just walk around and take a break at all the cool bars and cafes. 

If you stay over the weekend and have time on Sunday, you must definitely visit the flee market at Mauerpark, subway station Eberswalder Straße. It is so much fun and you'll find really nice stuff. Take some time because it is huge!

Alexander Wang: First Campaign Video Fall 2010 RTW

Post zu später Stunde: Das Video von Alexander Wang's Ready-To-Wear Herbst Kampagne für Frauen hat meine volle Aufmerksamkeit erzielt und mich total in den Bann gezogen. Model Abbey Lee Kershaw ist einfach großartig. Aber auch das Kreativ-Team von Alexander Wang hat einen rundum perfekten Job gemacht. I like.

Yes or No: XL Bow?!

Fashion-Freunde, eure Meinung ist gefragt!!! Bei H&M ist mir diese XL-Schleifen-Kette ins Auge gestochen und wie das immer mit solchen Dingen ist, man kauft sie auch schnell. Aber zu Hause angekommen kamen mir in diesem Fall dann doch die Zweifel. Zu 90% würde ich sagen ich gebe sie zurück. Was meint ihr?

oasis shop @ covent garden london

Nein, hier geht es nicht um die britische Band Oasis, sondern um Mode. Das Geschäft oasis habe ich direkt an der U-Bahnstation Covent Garden entdeckt und mal einen kurzen Blick hinein gewagt. Ein sehr liebevoll gestalteter Shop mit zauberhaften Accessoires und schönen Kleidungsstücken. Nun zählt eine neue, winterliche Kette zu meinen neusten Errungenschaften. Preislich kann man oasis mit Zara, Mango und Topshop vergleichen. Genial fand ich auch die Idee, eine eigene Herbst-Wunsch-Checkliste im Store zu präsentieren, so kann man auch den Umsatz ankurbeln ;) Mehr Infos zu oasis findet man natürlich auch im Netz. This is not about the british band Oasis, it's about fashion. I discovered the store oasis at the tube station Covent Garden and sneaked into it. A lovely store design, beautiful accessories and glamorously clothes. Now i have a new, winterly necklace in my repertoire. By looking at the prices I would compare oasis with Zara, Mango and Topshop. A genuis idea to my mind is the Autumn-Wishlist you can see inside the store. I survived Primark.

London, Montag 21:45 Uhr: Ich habe es geschafft! Ich halte eine Primark-Papiertüte in den Händen!!! Wie nun alle anderen setze ich mich leicht erschöpft auf den Vorbau des Primark-Schaufensters in der Oxford Street, um den erlebten Shopping-Wahnsinn zu verarbeiten. Hunderte Frauen aber auch Männer durchwühlen das aktuelle Angebot im Laden, ohne viel Schnörkel und Details wirkt das Store-Design eher wie eine charmlose Fabrik, Material und Verabeitung vieler Kleidungsstücke lassen wirklich auch zu wünschen übrig. Aber der Preis und die modische Aktualität überzeugen dann doch. Mit einer Ansammlung an Teilen begebe ich mich zur Umkleide und dort heißt es nur 8 Teile pro Person. Moment! NUR 8 Teile?! Jetzt verstehe ich auch, warum viele Frauen im Laden sich direkt vor den Spiegeln platzieren und anprobieren. Gut, schnell erörtert, was man schnell drüber ziehen kann und wie wild vorm Spiegel anprobiert. Meine Kleidungsmasse wurde so von 17 auf 8 reduziert. Dann 30 Minuten bei der Umkleide gewartet und wieder Sachen aussortiert. Jetzt nurnoch an eine der 40 Kassen anstellen und raus. Echte Mode-Massenabfertigung.

London, Monday 21:45: I made it! I hold a Primark shopping bag in my hands!!! As almost everyone else I sit down infront of the Primark shopping window at Oxford Street and try to deal with the shopping adventure. Hundreds of women and even men rifle through the current collection, the store design is very simple, it looks more like a factory and many clothes suffer from bad quality. But the price and up-to-dateness of the clothes are convincing me to give a try. With a huge range of clothes I made my way to the fitting rooms where I got informed that only 8 pieces are allowed to try on. Wait a moment. JUST 8?! Now I understand why women try on all their clothes at the store infront of the mirrors. Ok, I quickly figured out which clothes I can pull over and looked for the next mirror. I reduced my choice from 17 to 8 pieces. After waiting 30 minutes in line I got into the fitting room and reduced my choice again. Then I queued for one of the 40 counters. Real fashion mass processing.

I woke up in London and went to bed in Berlin

Hello... gestern abend bin ich in Berlin-Schönefeld gelandet und bin nun wieder Zuhause. Das ist irgendwie doof, denn London war echt toll und ich habe die Stadt sehr genossen. Es ist schon faszinierend welche Menschenmassen sich dort von A nach B bewegen. Richtiger Großstadtflair eben, und eigentlich gar nicht mit Berlin zu vergleichen. Nun ja, jede Stadt hat halt ihren eigenen Charme und das mag ich so am Reisen. Shopping-Spots wurden selbstverständlich auch erkundigt... hehe... und auf meiner Liste standen Topshop und Primark ganz oben. Ebenfalls cool fand ich New Look und Oasis und für mehr hat dann die Zeit auch leider nicht gereicht. Ein Grund mehr nochmal hinzufahren *zwinker*. Mein ershopptes Warengut erfolgt im nächsten Post :)

Hello... yesterday I landed in Berlin and I am back home now. I do not really like this because I enjoyed my trip to London very much and the city is so amazing. It is fascinating how many people are on the streets and move from A to B. It's the flair of a big city and not comparable with Berlin at all. Every city has its own charme and that is why I love travelling so much. Of course I explored some shopping spots... hehe... and Topshop and Primark were on top of my list. Additionally I liked New Look and Oasis and for more shopping I had not enough time. One more reason to go back to London. I'll show you my purchases at the next post :)

FYI: Out of Blog-Office 07. - 10.08.2010

So, morgen früh geht es in den Flieger und ab nach London, Baby. 4 satte Tage in der britischen Hauptstadt. I am so excited :) Das erste und bis dato einzige Mal war ich vor 3 Jahren, also 2007, in London. Daher stammen auch die Bilder, die ihr hier seht. Ja, damals waren meine Haare noch blond und ich hatte einen schrägen Pony. Na ja, die Zeiten ändern sich oder wohl besser mich :) Also habt ein schönes Wochenende, keep on rocking und ick meld ma Mittwoch, wa?!

Tomorrow morning I will get on the plane to get to London, Baby. I stay 4 days at the british capital. I am so excited :) Till now I was only once in London and that was back in 2007, so 3 years ago. I used the pictures of the former trip with my friend for this post and as you can see my hair was more blond and I had a fringe. Time passes by and I changed :) I wish you all a great weekend, keep on rocking and I will be back on Wednesday.

Hello... new skirt... I love you!

Es ist wie es ist! Mädchen trifft Rock, probiert ihn kurz an, ist jetzt schon verliebt und kann erst recht nicht widerstehen als sie dann noch den Preis von sensationellen 9,95 € liest. Ja, es ist immer noch SALE bei Zara und weil das "Verliebt sein" einem die rosa-rote Shoppingbrille aufsetzt, wurde die Denim-Jacke auch gleich gekauft (14,95€ statt 39,95€).

It happened in this manner: Girl meets skirt, tries it on, falls immediately in love and cannot resist by looking at its price of 9,95 €. Yes, there is still SALE at Zara and as I was high of emotions I couldn't resist the denim jacket either and bought is as well. (14,95€ instead of 39,95€)

flea market twins*

Ja, ich musste schmunzeln, als ich mich gestern mit meiner Freundin zum Flohmarkt-Bummeln traf. Schon von weitem (und das obwohl ich kurzsichtig bin) konnte ich erkennen, dass wir zwei unabgesprochen ein sehr abgesprochenes, stimmiges Outfit an hatten. Sicherlich gab es schon Unterschiede, die wie ich finde aber soooo minimal waren, dass ich uns als Outfit-Zwillinge bezeichnen würde. Anyways, gute 3 Stunden verbrachten wir auf dem Trödelmarkt am Mauerpark in Prenzlauerberg. Und natürlich haben wir auch was nettes entdeckt und gekauft - handeln inklusive :)

Yes, I grinned, as I met my friend for visiting the flea market yesterday. Already from afar I realized that both of us had the same outfit style. Of course they where differences but to my mind they were sooooo small that I would describes us as flea market twins. Anyways, we spend around 3 hours at the flea market at the Mauerpark in Prenzlauerberg. And of course we bought something - bargaining included :)
