Bracelet love

New in. Found it, loved it, bought it. That's pretty much how it happened at a famous Swedish retail store. I passed 4,95€ across the counter and got this Golden piece back in return. ♥

Neuzugang. Gesehen, geliebt, gekauft. So in etwa könnt ihr euch das Szenario bei der schwedischen Modekette meines Vertrauens vorstellen. 4,95€ gingen über den Ladentisch und zack das goldene Stück rein in die Tüte. ♥

DIY : Star Studded Collar

Handicraft. Ok, collars reused as 'necklace' is nothing new to fashion bloggers but I had this DIY project in my head for a long time. Finally, I had time to realize it.

Bastelstunde. Ok zugegeben, Hemdkragen, die als 'Halsketten' wiedergeboren werden, sind jetzt nichts Neues für die Mode-Blogger-Welt aber ich hatte dieses DIY Projekt schon lange in meinem Kopf. Endlich hatte ich mal Ruhe und Zeit mich ranzusetzen.

Equipment. 

I bought these star studs at Moods in New York two years ago. Yes, I had them for a long time in my cupboard :) Further, I used a men's shirt and scissors. That's all.

Die Sternchen-Nieten habe ich vor 2 Jahren bei Moods in New York gekauft. Jaja, ich hatte sie für eine Ewigkeit in meinem Schrank eingelagert :) Ausserdem habe ich ein Männerhemd und eine Schere benötigt. Das wars auch schon.

Let's do it. 

First, cut off the collar and lay down some studs to see how it looks like. Then, just start clipping the studs into the collars and check to be well-balanced on both sides.

Zuerst wird der Kragen vom Hemd fein abgeschnitten und dann werden ein paar Nieten zur Probe hingelegt, um ein schönes Muster zu gestalten. Dann, einfach die Nieten in den Kragen klippen und zwischendurch checken, dass man symmetrisch auf beiden Seiten ist.

In the end...

I placed one star in the back of the collar as I thought it gives the whole collar a nice extra touch.

Auf der Rückseite des Kragens habe ich einen einzelnen Stern platziert, da ich dachte es gibt dem Ganzen ein besonderes Extra.

Me, Myself and Marni

For the first time... I set my alarm clock to actually queue for a H&M designer collaboration! Today, the fashion line of the Italian fashion house Marni hit H&M stores worldwide - not to forget the online world. Thanks to other bloggers who posted their experiences of prior designer collaborations and the H&M website I was well prepared for the journey. The aim was to get a wristband with a 10 minutes time slot. When I arrived at the H&M store only four security guards and a lovely H&M employee were standing in front of the store. She explained everything to me and gave me a wristband for 10:10-10:20. "Now you can have a coffee or breakfast and come back 10 minutes before your time slot" she said. Ok, so I went to Starbucks, had a tea and waited. To be sure I was back at 9:45 and waited to get in. 

With 20 other women I entered the Marni area at 10:10. I have to say that the system works quite well and although you are under time pressure, it is not chaotic. Unfortunately, the white flower necklace that I fancied was already sold out BUT I was lucky to get the black collar with sequins which I also wanted to have. In the end I left with two pieces. Mission completed.

Zum ersten Mal... habe ich mir tatsächlich den Wecker gestellt, um mich bei einer H&M Designer-Kollaboration vorbildlich anzustellen! Heute war die Kollektion des italienischen Modehauses Marni in den H&M Geschäften weltweit erhältlich - nicht zu vergessen unsere Parallelwelt des www. Dank ausführlicher Berichte anderer Blogger von früheren H&M Kollaborationen und der Erklärungen auf der Webseite war ich bestens vorbereitet für diese Erfahrung. Das Ziel war es also, eines der bunten Armbänder zu ergattern, dass einen den Einlass für gute 10 Minuten ermöglicht. Als ich dann vor dem H&M Laden ankam, standen dort vier Sicherheitsmänner und eine sehr nette H&M Angestellte. Sie erklärte mir nochmal alles und gab mir dann das Bändchen mit der Uhrzeit 10:10 bis 10:20. "Jetzt können Sie sich einen Kaffee holen oder etwas Frühstücken gehen und seihen Sie bitte 10 Minuten vor Ihrer Uhrzeit wieder zurück", sagte sie. Gesagt, getan und ab zu Starbucks einen Tee trinken. Abwarten und Tee trinken heißt es doch so schön. Um aber sicher zu gehen war ich um 9:45Uhr zurück und wartete. 

Mit 20 anderen Frauen durfte ich dann um 10:10 in den Marni-Bereich. Ich muss sagen, dass dieses System sehr gut funktioniert auch wenn man zeitlich sehr begrenzt ist, totales Chaos blieb dadurch aber weitestgehend aus. Leider war die weiße Blumenkette schon ausverkauft zu diesem Zeitpunkt ABER ich hatte noch das Glück den schwarzen Kragen mit Pailletten zu erhaschen, auf den ich auch abgesehen hatte. Am Ende verließ ich den Laden mit zwei Sachen. Mission erfolgreich abgeschlossen.

Little Things from Camden Market

Two Things. I totally fell in love with the small bottle of Chanel No. 5 perfume as a necklace pendant. Cuteeee. After chatting with the woman I got for 10.00 instead of 12.oo £, yes. And the colorful pixel penguins are my new cover for my tube travel card (3.00 £). Do you like it? x

Zwei Sachen. Oh, es war mal wieder Liebe auf dem ersten Blick als ich den Flakon-Kettenanhänger des Chanel No. 5 Parfums sah. Süüüß. Doch trotz erhöhtem Verliebtheitsgrad wurde noch gehandelt, so bekam ich die Kette für 10.00 anstatt 12.00 £, juchu. Und die farbenfrohen Pixel-Pinguine sind meine neue Schutzhülle für meine U-Bahnfahrkarte (3.00 £). Wie gefallen Euch die Sachen? x

From one side to the other

Pigtail-knot. Today, I took all my hair from one side to the other to do a pigtail with a knot. Quite easy but nice. I wish you all a happy Sunday! x

Seitenzopf-Knoten. Heute habe ich einfach mal meine Haare komplett von einer Seite auf die andere gezogen, um einen Zopf zu binden, der dann geknotet wurde. Total einfach aber schön. Ich wünsche euch allen einen schönen 3. Advent! x

Top without collar. No problem as this beautiful necklace is a perfect compensation. However, the necklace does not look good with tops having a V-neckline. So that's my Sunday look. We will go to a concert in the evening so maybe I change again and post some pics tomorrow :) Enjoy your Sunday! x

Oberteil ohne Kragen. Kein Problem, denn diese schöne Halskette tut den Rest und ist ein perfekter Kragenersatz. Allerdings, sieht die Kette an V-Ausschnitt Oberteilen nur bedingt toll aus. Also das ist mein heutiger Sonntags-Look. Später gehen wir noch auf ein Konzert, werde mich wohl noch mal umziehen und euch dann morgen hoffentlich Outfit-Bilder präsentieren. Bicolor Earrings

Silver-Black-Metal. Bicolor tops, jackets, trousers, whatever. So the bicolor trend is taking over this season and when I saw this earrings at H&M, I found my way to step into the bicolor game. I like the way how the black color turns the earrings into a more edgy look. x

Silber-Schwarzes Metall.  Zweifarbige Tops, Jacken, Hosen, was auch immer. Also der Bicolor-Trend zieht durch die Modewelt und als ich diese Ohrringe bei H&M sah, fand ich meinen Weg, das zweifarbige Spiel mitzuspielen. Besonders gefiel mir, dass die schwarze Farbe, die Ohrringe gleich viel markanter wirken lässt. x

Who says plastic can't be gorgeous?

White plastic. Without questioning, I am addicted to accessories. I found this necklace at H&M, loved it, bought it. But if you do not prefer white or silver, this necklace is also available in black and gold :) And as I was already there I tried on some clothes, click, snapshot. x

Weißes Plastik. Ohne Frage, ich bin total süchtig nach Accessoires. Diese Kette habe ich bei H&M gefunden, geliebt und gekauft. Aber wenn ihr weiß oder silber nicht bevorzugt, könnt ihr auf die Alternative in schwarz und gold zurückgreifen :) Und wenn man schon mal da ist, kann man auch gleich mal was anprobieren, klick, kleiner Schnappschuss. x

70's Bling: Colored Fake Fur Stole

Eyecatcher. Following the Autumn 2011 trends a while ago, candy colored fur stoles were quite popular on the catwalks. Anyhow, some days ago I was browsing through Primark ending up infront of the accessories shelf, asking myself: Is this fake fur stole tacky or cool? Well, after 10 minutes I decided to give it a trial, common for 7.00£. Haven't combined it, yet but guys, you can be sure I'll post pictures :) Speaking of tacky or cool...

Blickfang. Beim Verfolgen der Herbsttrends 2011 vor einziger Zeit, wurde es deutlich, dass farbige Fell-Stolen sehr beliebt auf den Catwalks der Designer waren. Jedenfalls, bummelte ich letztens durch Primark und endete vor dem Accessoire-Regal und fragte mich: Ist die farbige, fellimitierende Stola jetzt nun kitschig oder cool? Nun, nach 10 Minuten entschied ich mich dem Ding, eine Chance zu geben, hey für 7.00£. Hab's noch nicht kombiniert aber Leute seid euch sicher, ich werde Bilder posten :) Apropos kitschig oder cool...

 ... Versace for H&M. Surely, I am not the first blogger writing about Donnatella's collection for H&M. By contrast, I was reading a lot of mixed reviews on the collection. To my mind, Donnatella did a good job as typical Versace elements and colorful prints can be identified. The only question I have: Why do they launch the clothes in November? I cannot think of shorts skirts and colorful dresses when it is freezing cold outside, can you?

... Versace für H&M. Sicherlich, ich bin nicht die erste, die über Donnatella's Kollektion für den Schweden bloggt. Im Gegenteil, bislang habe ich sehr unterschiedliche Meinungen über die Kollektion gelesen. Für meinen Teil, hat Donnatella einen guten Job gemacht da typische Versace-Elemente und auch farbenfrohe Prints zum Vorschein kommen. Die einzige Frage, die mir in den Kopf kommt ist: Warum launchen sie die Kollektion im November? Ich kann mich nicht auf kurze Röcke und farbenfrohe Kleidchen konzentrieren wenn es draussen so richtig kalt ist, könnt ihr?   

Portobello Fleamarket

Bracelet. Last Sunday I went to the Portobello fleamarket with my boyfriend and his mother who was visiting us for the weekend. I just love the atmosphere around there and it is one of my favorite spots in London to hang out on a cosy sunday. In addition I found this lovely bracelet - what a perfect day. x

Armband. Letzten Sonntag war ich mit meinem Freund und seiner Mutter, die uns gerade über das Wochenende besuchte auf dem Portobello Flohmarkt. Ich liebe einfach die Atmosphere dort und es gibt nichts schöneres als Sonntags dort gemütlich den Tag zu verbringen und rumzustöbern. Letztendlich fand ich dieses schöne Armband - was für ein perfekter Tag. x
