New in. Found it, loved it, bought it. That's pretty much how it happened at a famous Swedish retail store. I passed 4,95€ across the counter and got this Golden piece back in return. ♥

Frenemy. It's January, that means four letters are screaming at us from the shop displays: S A L E. So I happily took my gift vouchers which I got for Christmas and went shopping. But there is one question about sale; is sale our friend or enemy? On the one hand, we can buy clothes much cheaper compared to the original price - yesss we save money -  actually a lot! On the other hand, the clothes in sale represent trends or clothes that no one really wanted to have and they were not worth it to buy them. Face it, they are second choice, bad quality or just available in specific sizes. Years ago, I went crazy about sale because I could save a fortune but most of the clothes were just hanging in my wardrobe without wearing them as they were 'last season'. Nowadays, I really try to buy basic stuff in sale to make sure I can wear the clothes in the next season as well. I compromise on sale that is why I would say sale is my frenemy ;) What do you think about sale? x

Freind. Es ist mal wieder Januar und das bedeutet, dass uns wieder vier verführerische Buchstaben aus den Schaufensterläden anschreihen S A L E. Also nahm ich meine Einkaufsgutscheine in die Hand, die ich zu Weihnachten geschenkt bekam und machte mich auf die Schnäppchen jagt. Doch immer wieder stellt sich mir die gleiche Frage: Ist Sale unser Freund oder Feind? Auf der einen Seiten können wir die Klamotten viel billiger im Vergleich zum ursprünglichen Originalpreis kaufen - juchuuu wir sparen Geld - und das meistens nicht wenig! Auf der anderen Seite, präsentieren die Sachen im Sale immer Trends, die keiner so richtig haben wollte oder die Sachen waren es nicht Wert sie zu kaufen. Sehen wir der Sache ins Gesicht: Die Klamotten sind zweite Wahl, von schlechter Qualität oder nurnoch in bestimmten Größen erhältlich. Früher war ich verrückt nach Sale da ich ein Vermögen sparen konnte, doch meistens hingen die Sachen danach ungetragen im Schrank da sie mittlerweile der letzten Saison entsprachen. Heutzutage gehe ich den Sale vorsichtiger an und kaufe nur Basics oder Sachen wo ich mir sicher bin, dass man sie auch noch in der nächsten Saison tragen kann. Ich mache sozusagen einen Kompromiss mit dem lieben Sale und würde ihn daher auch als Freind bezeichnen ;) Und ihr, was ist eure Meinung zum Sale? x

Sparkling Tights. Actually, I saw these tights weeks ago on a mannequin at H&M but when I asked a sales person where to find them, she told me that they sometimes get tights or shoes just for showcasing. So I was pretty happy the other day when I walked into H&M again and finally saw these tights in a shelf :) I just love love love them. Have a sparkling weekend!!! x

Glitzer Strumpfhose. Eigentlich, habe ich diese Strumpfhose schon vor einigen Wochen an einer Schaufensterpuppe bei H&M entdeckt aber als ich die Verkäuferin fragte, wo ich diese denn finde, bekam ich als Antwort das manchmal Strumpfhosen und Schuhe nur als Ausstellungsstücke mitgeliefert werden. Na ja, umso höher sprang mein Herz dann letztens als ich mal wieder ein H&M betrat und doch tatsächlich diese Strumpfhose im Regal zum Verkauf hängen sah. Ich liebe sie einfach. Habt ein glitzerfrohes Wochenende!!! x

Who says plastic can't be gorgeous?

White plastic. Without questioning, I am addicted to accessories. I found this necklace at H&M, loved it, bought it. But if you do not prefer white or silver, this necklace is also available in black and gold :) And as I was already there I tried on some clothes, click, snapshot. x

Weißes Plastik. Ohne Frage, ich bin total süchtig nach Accessoires. Diese Kette habe ich bei H&M gefunden, geliebt und gekauft. Aber wenn ihr weiß oder silber nicht bevorzugt, könnt ihr auf die Alternative in schwarz und gold zurückgreifen :) Und wenn man schon mal da ist, kann man auch gleich mal was anprobieren, klick, kleiner Schnappschuss. x

Coat Love

It's getting cold. Guys, I don't know how the weather is where you live but here in London it's getting colder. So time to check coats! I immediately fall in love with this coat by H&M for 29.99£. Sure, this coat won't bring me through the freezing winter but for now the coat is doing a good job. x

Es wird kälter. Leute, ich weiß ja nicht wie das Wetter bei euch gerade so ist aber hier in London wirds doch gerade zügig kälter. Also ist es an der Zeit, das Mantel-Sortiment zu checken. Direkt habe ich mich auch wieder einmal verliebt und zwar in diesen leichten Mantel von H&M für süße 29.99£. Sicherlich bringt mich dieser Mantel nicht durch die härtesten Wintertage aber er ist ein netter Anfang für diese Jahreszeit. x

 

Shopping Outfit: The Day I met Bambi

Back in Berlin, I spent a mother-daughter day with, of course, my mother. One of the things we did was shopping at the Potsdamer Platz Arcaden (shopping mall). This is also where my outfit pic was taken. Anyhow, I will show you later what's actually inside the shopping bag but I also found this cute little Bambi necklace at H&M, bought it and wore it the same day as it matched my outfit. Back home I took additional fotos with the new necklace. Have a sweet Saturdayyyy. x

Zurück in Berlin, habe ich einen Mutter-Tochter-Tag mit, natürlich, meiner Mutter verbracht. Unter anderem waren wir in den Potsdamer Platz Arcaden bummeln. Dort ist auch das Outfit-Foto entstanden. Was sich so in der Tüte verbirgt, zeige ich Euch ein anderes Mal aber ich habe auch diese süße Bambi-Kette bei H&M entdeckt, gekauft und sofort getragen da sie perfekt zu meinem Outfit passte. Zuhause wurden dann noch noch extra Bilder mit der neuen Kette gemacht. Habt nen süßen Samstag. x

GOT IT: Metallic Top

As I posted couple of days ago, I really wanted a metallic shirt and luckily I found one! I bought this top at H&M for 24,95€ and it has a nice oversize cut. I am sooooo happy that I finally got it :) Happy Friday and enjoy your weekend!

Wie ich ja bereits vor ein paar Tagen geposted hatte, wollte ich unbedingt meinen Kleiderschrank mit einem Metallic Top aufstocken. Und dieses habe ich nun tatsächlich auch getan! Bei H&M gibt es derzeit dieses Oberteil für 24,95€ und hat einen 'Oversized-Schnitt'. Ich bin sooooo froh, dass ich dieses Top gefunden hab' :) Habt 'nen schönen Tag und ein tolles Wochenende!

BIG BAG THEORY

Last week at the Zara sale I found this huge bag for 7,00£. I thought it would be perfect for carrying my laptop or other stuff while travelling. And you never know when, you'll need a big bag ;). So for me, it happend to be needed quite soon. Two days later I needed to carry my laptop, books and papers to university. Et voilà, I used my new big bag. Everything fit in so easily.

Letzte Woche beim Sommer Sale bei Zara, fand ich diese große Tasche für 7,00£. Mein erster Gedanke war: Oh, die scheint perfekt für meinen Laptop zu sein oder wenn ich mal verreise. Und man weiß ja nie, wann man so 'ne große Tasche mal braucht ;). Und wie es immer so ist, 2 Tage später musste ich spontan meinen Laptop, ein paar Bücher und Krimskrams zur Uni schleppen. Et voilà, die große Tasche kam sofort zum Einsatz. Konnte alles ganz einfach verstauen. Platz war ja ausreichend vorhanden.

Lately, I was browsing for a nice summer dress that I can wear at an upcoming special garden party. So I entered TKMaxx to see what they offer and found some nice dresses. In the end, I took this coral dress back home :) Can't wait to wear it!

Vor kurzem habe ich mal Ausschau nach schönen Sommerkleider gehalten, da ich eins für eine baldige Special-Garten-Party benötige. Also ab zu TKMaxx und mal geschaut, was die so im Sortiment haben. Habe auch ein paar nette Sachen gefunden. Am Ende habe ich dann dieses coral-farbende Stück Stoff nach Hause getragen :) Kann es kaum abwarten, es zu tragen!

Jaja, das kleine Schwarze ;) Immer wieder ein Klassiker und da sich im Moment kein schwarzes Kleid in meinem Schrank befindet, muss nun dieses Kleid von H&M (14,95£) herhalten. Und NEIN, es ist nicht von aus der Lanvin Kollektion - natürlich nicht bei dem Preis. Ich wünsche Euch ein schönes Wochenende! x

The little black dress ;) After all, it is still a classic must-have in each wardrobe and as you can't find a LBD in mine at the moment, this dress from H&M (14,95£) is my new LBD. NO, it's not from the Lanvin collection - of course by looking at the price. Have an awesome weekend, guys! x

Autumn 2010 Must Have: Camel (Cape) Coat

Überall zu lesen und zu sehen. Camel Coats sind diesen Herbst wohl ein absolutes Must Have. Lange resistent geblieben aber immer mal wieder drauf geachtet, konnte ich diesem Trend nun doch nicht widerstehen und habe mir diesen Camel Coat mit Kaputze bei Primark für 25,00 £ gekauft. Was sind Eure Must Have's für den Herbst?

Everywhere you see and read about it. Camel coats are one the autumn seasons must haves. I could resist for a long time but I always had an eye on them. Finally I follow the trend and bought this camel coat with a cape at Primark for 25,00 £. What are your Must Have's for the season?

French Allure

Bonjour mes amis... et voilà, c'est mon bonnet nouveaux. 

Irgendwie hat mich das schwarz-weiß-gestreifte Bonnet von Promod total an Paris und Frankreich erinnert. Und bei dem Wetter kann man schon mal an die kühleren Tage denken, auferlegtes Shopping-Verbot hin oder her ;) Aber warum ich so auf Schleifen stehe, weiß ich nicht! Dachte ich bin drüber hinweg aber sie verzaubern mich immer noch.

This black white stripped bonnet from Promod somehow reminds me of Paris and France. And as the weather is getting colder you can think of Autumn/Winter clothes, even though I didn't want to shop anymore till London. But why I am still into bows, I cannot explain! I thought I am over it but bows still cast a spell on me.

The Wild Life

Oh wie süüüüß! Bei Zara ist gerade tierisch was los, was die T-Shirt-Prints angeht. Vor allem dieses Shirt für 16,95€ fand ich total sweet. Blieb aber dann doch im Laden, muss mich eh schon zwischen meinen Klamotten entscheiden, was mit nach London kommt und was nicht. Da kann ich mir die Wahl nicht noch schwerer machen :)

How loooovely! At Zara you'll find lots of animal inspired stuff and T-Shirt prints. I especially liked this T-Shirt for 16,95€. I didn't buy it because I already have to choose between my clothes back home what to take to London and what not. I didn't want to make my decision even harder by buying more :)

Berlin shopping tips for tourists

Hi fashion friends :) As Fashionista ask me at my last post to give her some Berlin shopping tips for her visit, I thought that this is a great post for you all to share the information. So if you ever plan to visit Berlin there are some nice places to shop besides all the sightsighting. [Click here for official sightseeing info]

Let's go shopping

If you want to shop from A like American Apparel to Z like Zara you should definitely go to Kurfürstendamm starting at subway station Wittenbergplatz, there you'll find all High Street Fashion Stores and the famous KaDeWe. In the End of the street prices are getting up and you can buy luxury goods from Gucci, LV etc. 

If you prefer Vintage Shopping try Kreuzberg! There are my 3 favorite Second Hand stores called Bonnie & Kleid (Gneisenaustraße 9), Checkpoint (Mehringdamm 41) and Colours (Bergmannstraße 102 - Happy Hour every Tuesday between 11.00 and 15.00 o'clock 30% discount). You get there by subway, just get out at Mehringdamm and walk 5 minutes.

If you love chic and expensive shopping go to Friedrichstraße and shop for example at the Galerie Lafayette, Hugo Boss or Escada. But there are two H&M's as well ;) Subway station: Französische Straße

Individual clothes and indepent designers can be found in Mitte as well as Prenzlauer Berg. In Mitte walk around Hackescher Markt and discover small designer shops in the streets like Oranienburger Straße. In Mitte you also find the Adidas Original Flagship Store. I love it! It is at Münzstraße 15 right under the trade show office Bread & Butter :) 

For shopping in Prenzlauer Berg I suggest to take the subway till Eberswalder Straße. There you find both small independent labels (Name of the street: Kastanienallee!!!) and Second Hand stores. Just walk around and take a break at all the cool bars and cafes. 

If you stay over the weekend and have time on Sunday, you must definitely visit the flee market at Mauerpark, subway station Eberswalder Straße. It is so much fun and you'll find really nice stuff. Take some time because it is huge!
